Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia- Jambi Forest Honey House, one of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) partners of PLN in Jambi City, continues to grow. Now, its honey products are not only consumed by domestic people, but also exported to neighboring countries, namely Singapore. Honey exports of around 60 tons per year or 5 tons every month will be sent from Jambi to Singapore via delivery via Batam.

Jambi Forest Honey House has joined as PLN’s fostered partner since 2019. This business, which was started by a local entrepreneur named Candralela since 2008, has had its ups and downs. Initially, the number of employees at the Jambi Forest Honey House was only 3 people with a production capacity of 900 kilograms per month, with a turnover of Rp. 15 million to Rp. 20 million per month.

In mid-2019, PLN together with Rumah BUMN Jambi started a training and development program for the Jambi Forest Honey House. Development is carried out through the provision of tools for production capacity, providing training and mentoring as well as expanding the reach of the bee farming community.
